In a strong demonstration of leadership and commitment to students' welfare, the President of NAHIMS Southwest, Comr. Ike Ekene Samuel (p.k.a. Sammy), led a high-level delegation on a series of institutional visits to POGIL College of Health Technology, Ijebu Ode; DEPOTTER; and OSPOHAS. The visits were aimed at engaging the Management of these institutions directly on concerns and reports currently circulating among students regarding their academic progression and continuation of studies.
The delegation included the Immediate Past President, Comr. Ajayi Abiodun Greatness, whose wealth of experience and institutional knowledge provided significant support to the engagement. Also in attendance was the National General Secretary, Comr. Adedayo Mayowa, alongside other members of the National Executive.
The primary objective of the visits was to separate facts from rumours, hear directly from institutional management, and ensure that every student's right to academic continuity and welfare is fully protected. The leadership made clear that issues affecting students are best resolved through proper engagement, structured dialogue, and constructive intervention — not speculation or unrest.
At the conclusion of all institutional engagements, the Executive President and leadership will communicate the official outcome to students across all affected institutions, providing clear and accurate information on the way forward.
